*Drivers to start in the rear

 

Tentative Schedule: Points total for all races

 

Saturday:

Decorate your trailers for Halloween

Bring candy so kids (and adults) can go trick or treating at trailers

 

Sign Ins: 9:00am-10: 30

Practice followed by 2 heat races.

First heat will be determined by pill pick

2^nd heat will be determined by pill pick of top 5 drivers. 6 down will be lined up straight up

 

Sunday:

Decorate for Thanksgiving

Sign ins from 10:00-10:30

Round of practice at 11am

One heat and one feature determined by pill picks

Top 3 will be awarded for point total of 2 day

 

 

 

 

 

 

Important info:

Please be advised that in order to pass safety inspection for the Legends and Bandoleros the following are a MUST!!!

 Arm restraints or a safety net
SFI fire retardant roll bar padding
Braided full line
"Borla" mufflers
No more than 2 yrs on seat belt dates
Jersey kit (angle iron, door bars, fuel shut off valve labeled on/off)
No opening in any sheet metal around driver's compartment
No glass or plastic fuel filters

 

Thank you so much to everyone who brought cars out and helped us on Promotional Day. Once again, there were alot of happy faces on so many kids!

Our next big event is practice on the 29th! Please remember your car needs a safety inspection before going out on the track. Please be advised that I need a copy of any driver 16 or under that will be participating in racing this year.

 

 Updates from track meeting:

*No license to enter the pits

*No fee for grandstands

*There will be a "family" section of pits

*Pricing: Car and driver: $45.00. Additional car for same driver: $20.00

         Hot pit entrance: $20.00.  Pit entrance: $10.00

         Kids karts (ages 5-7): $25.00

         Kids under 7 free with adult supervision

         No child under 7 allowed in the hot pits unless they are a driver

 

*Classes to be run: Kid Karts: Ages 5-7 Open and champ karts

                      Points Series for Kart racing ages 8 and up

                      Including Champ Karts and Microtocks

                      We will accomodate any type of Kart that wants to run our Sunday Series

                      Legends: Ages 14-17

                      Bandoleros: Ages 12-17

                      TQ's: Ages 14-17

 

*Points Series: All classes except for Kids Karts will have a point series. The # of points races will be determined shortly. There will be 3 "drops" this season to allow for vacations etc...

You will have to attend a % of the races held to be in the points series. You must attend half of the races to be in the points series.

Rules and Regulations:

Points Format: Legends and Bandoleros

          40 points for heats

          60 points for features

          2 points per position

          3 drops – example: 18 total races we would count your best 15 race

             day points.

          Must take a green flag to acquire points.

 Example: Wreck in heat you get points for where you finish. If you cannot make feature and they run 10 cars you get 11th place points.

*Points will be awarded for the day if all the heats are complete

*If any classes run both a heat and a feature before called due to  rain, they will get both heat and feature points

Heat races will count only if all heats are run

Racing Format

            Practice/Heat/Feature

          Legends and Bandoleros

          Pill pick for heat

          Top 6 finishers pick out of a hat for start position

          10 or more cars: 2 heats top 3 of each pick for starting position 

           Straight up from 4^th finishing position down. (starting position: 7^th)

 

Conduct

          Will be closely monitored. Emphasis on children’s program!

             Suspensions will be given as needed and will be discussed first with

             track officials.

             

 

Racing

 

Double file line-ups until ½ way through the race. Race director has the right to go single file sooner if deemed necessary.

 

Right side tires should not go over white line on the track. This means you have hit the wall! If you go over the white line more than 3 times in any race, you will be scored to the rear.

 

If you go into the pits for a repair, you can come back onto the track only under a caution. If you are more than 5 laps down, you cannot re-enter the field.

 

3 DOT’s on your own will result in a black flag.

 

Any driver who does not leave the track when shown the black field will lose points for the day.

 

Calls can be made by the race director for flagrant driving. Drivers may or may not be awarded their spot back under certain circumstances to be determined by the officials. This is not negotiable. If a driver gets DQ’d for flagrant driving, there will be no points awarded to the driver for that day.

 

A driver must race in half of the Sunday Series races to be in the point’s series.  

Absolutely no alcoholic beverages allowed in the pits!
